WELCOME!

Lakeview Christian School is a ministry of Lakeview Baptist Church. If, after prayer and research, you have made the decision to home school, here’s how we may be able to help:

———————————————-

1. We provide a cover school or umbrella school to satisfy the compulsory attendance law of Alabama. A family must be a member of Lakeview Baptist Church to enroll in the cover school.

How do I join Lakeview Baptist Church?

How can we enroll in the cover school?

What does the compulsory attendance law say?

———————————————-

2. We provide on campus classes for elementary, junior high and high school students for anyone in the home school community who would like selected, “a la carte” classroom experiences for their children (membership in Lakeview is NOT a requirement to participate).

QUICK LINKS FOR ON-CAMPUS CLASSES:
“HOC” / High School On-Campus Classes
“JOC” / Junior High On-Campus Classes
“LEEP” – Elementary On-Campus Classes

3. We will be happy to answer home school questions in general such as:

  • How do I get started?
  • Where do I find curriculum?
  • What counts as school?
  • What does a typical school day look like?
  • What about high school? College?
  • What if my child has special learning needs?

For general home school information, contact Dr. Deborah Stabler, Lakeview Home School Ministry coordinator and principal of Lakeview Christian School, at principal@lakeviewchristianschool.net.
