COLLEGE/CAREER FAIR
MARCH 23, 1-5pm
BIRMINGHAM MARRIOTT
COST: $5 Suggested Donation
The College/Career Fair features an exhibit hall with not only college representatives, but also career and technical school options. In addition, there are additional resources represented to support the high school years with college prep, driver’s ed, curriculum, and recordkeeping. Middle school students will benefit from exposure to a variety of options, and high school students will be able to talk to representatives about their specific goals. Workshops will also be offered to help guide parents in preparation for high school and for life after high school. (These workshops will point to administrators for specific details about their school’s graduation requirements.)
BIRMINGHAM HOMESCHOOL FAIR
MARCH 24-25
HIGHLANDS COLLEGE, BIRMINGHAM
COST: $50 through March 1st, then $75
The Birmingham Homeschool Fair is shaping up to be a premiere event for inspiring, encouraging, informing, and connecting the homeschool community. With a Dad’s Track of breakout sessions, parents will find resources that minister to their needs regardless of ages or stages. Our goal is to celebrate together and impart “anchor points” to help us stand firm in our commitment to educate and parent our children. We’ve also secured a group rate at the Marriott, but there are lots of hotel options near the college if you are traveling in from out of town. The first session begins at 1pm on March 24, and the last session will end at 5pm on March 25.
