What is Summer Retreat?
Summer Retreat is a time for Lakeview youth and their friends to get away from the distractions and normalcy of home and encounter the Lord through his Word. We bring small group leaders from Lakeview to serve and teach, and often bring in friends of our church to preach and lead in corporate worship. This year, we are headed back to Ocoee Ridge for a week of Bible study through the book of Colossians, Christ-centered worship, and fun. Many of our students would say Summer Retreat is one of the most spiritually enriching weeks of the year!

Meet The Team
Each year, we bring in some friends of Lakeview to help us encounter the Lord in His word and proclaim His glory through singing.
Curt serves as an elder and Pastor for Disciple-Making at Fortified Hills Baptist Church in the Metro Atlanta area. Before moving to Georgia, he served churches in Alabama as both a Student and Senior Pastor. He was a member of Lakeview while a student at Auburn, and thinks Aaron Wine is one of the smartest humans he’s ever met. He is married to Jenn and they have two wonderful kids.
Chase Mobbs is a freshman college student studying Christian Ministry at Samford University. He is originally from Buford, Georgia but has lived in Gulu, Uganda for the last eight years as a missionary kid. The oldest of five children, he has a passion for music and foreign culture. Having led corporate worship for two years, he currently serves as a guitarist and vocalist for the Samford Worship Collective. He also enjoys songwriting, Spikeball, and watching low-budget movies. After school, he plans to do cross-cultural mission work in an Arabic-speaking country.

There will be a non-refundable deposit of $97 to hold your student's spot.
Included within this cost is all food, transportation, and lodging for the week at Ocoee Ridge as well as a t-shirt!
There is a discount for multi-child families. For the second child, it will be $340. For each child following it will cost $325.

This time spent with our students could not happen without the generosity of so many in our church family. We have an opportunity for you to sponsor a student to attend Summer Retreat which is $350 or you can sponsor the event by donating any amount possible. We are so thankful for the many ways people come alongside us to support our ministry.

REQUIRED FORMS
A ministry release form is required for all students to attend Summer Retreat. If you have filled one out before for your student, you will not need to do so again unless your child has turned 19 years old. If you are unsure if you need to fill one out, email Camdyn!
Frequently asked questions
What if my student has medication or an allergy?
There will be a section on the registration form for you to indicate if your student takes medication or has an allergy. For medication, we ask that you turn this in to our camp nurse when you drop off your child. For allergies, we will ensure your student has the proper accommodations for all meals.
What safety precautions will be taken?
Each leader that works with your student will have completed a background check, as well as an abuse training.
We are unable to afford this event, can my student still attend?
We do not want to let money be a reason your student does not join us. If you are in need, please indicate on your registration form “sponsorship.” We are happy to provide full or partial sponsorships depending on the situation.
What if I need to cancel?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for the deposit of $97.
Where will my student be staying?
Each student will stay in a bunk room alongside their peers in similar age group. Leader rooms will be positioned in such a way, where students will be able to reach them whenever needed!
