What is Fuel Weekend?
FUEL Weekend is an event geared towards discipleship, relationship, worship, and service. Students gather together for worship services, and then split into small groups based on gender and age. Each group will stay in a host home, led by a small group leader who will guide numerous lessons throughout the weekend. We want our students to dig deeper into their relationship with Jesus, and be transformed by His Spirit towards greater joy and faithfulness.
Our theme this year is the Image of God. We will look into how we are made in His image and how that dictates how we live in the world. We will dive deeper into four sessions titled Relate, Relate, Reason, and Rule.

Meet The Team
Each year, we bring in some friends of Lakeview to help us encounter the Lord in His word and proclaim His glory through singing.
Jordan is married to Evan Hoge, and they have one little girl, Elliot Elizabeth, as well as one on the way. The Hoges are from Northeast Alabama and relocated when Jordan accepted the call to pastor Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama. Prior to becoming the pastor at PGBC, he served as an elder at Corinth Baptist Church in Section, Alabama.
Jordan received his Master of Theological Studies in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dan Jackson is a former Lakeview member who currently lives in Panama City, FL and has the coolest job ever as a blast research engineer. Dan is married to Olivia and has two children, Asher and Eleanor. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and cycling.
SESSION ONE
As image bearers, we were made to reflect the glory of God. We begin here, because we have to know God in order to know how his image in us was made to be seen, how sin distorted it, and how the gospel restores it.
RELATE
SESSION TWO
God is Triune. He lives eternally as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Part of what it means to be an image bearer is our capacity for relationship. We will learn about this wonderful gift and how believers rightly relate to others.
REASON
SESSION THREE
God gave humans an incredible mind far different from anything else in creation. Although sin affects our thoughts and logic, we have the ability to rationalize and reason to create, solve problems, and discover.
RULE
SESSION FOUR
God is the Creator, which means he is the Lord. As his image bearers, we are stewards of his creation, ruling in his name over the creation. We will learn how we are to expand his name and his glory to the ends of the earth.
