What is FUEL Weekend?
FUEL Weekend is an event for all 7th through 12th grade students who want to grow in their knowledge, understanding, and love of Christ. We gather for worship, preaching, and various service projects throughout the community. During the weekend, students will stay in host homes in the area, led by various Lakeview Youth leaders.
2018 Theme – Brave: Being Faithful to Christ
Christians throughout history have wrestled with fear and doubt. Our generation is no different. So, how can we be faithful to Jesus in the midst of our fears? How can we be obedient even when we don’t feel like it? That is what we want to learn about this year. God has equipped us with his Spirit and the truth of his Word to take courage, be brave in whatever circumstance, and remain faithful to him.
Zach and his wife Allison are graduates of Troy University. During that time, Aaron and Whitlee developed a deep friendship with the Pratts. Zach is a brave Auburn fan from the Tuscaloosa area. He has served on a church staff, taught English overseas, and managed marketing budgets for Fortune 500 companies. He is currently seeking a theological education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. If he is not studying, he enjoys cooking, eating, traveling, and hiking with his wife of 6 years.
Jason, his wife Morgan, and son Owen moved to Auburn in July of 2016 when he started school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine here in Auburn. The three of them are active at Parkway Baptist Church, working in both the worship teams and the youth group. Originally from Amory, MS, Jason has been leading worship for a little over 10 years. He worked a two year stint at Pine Cove’s Outback campus as their worship leader. His time there is what he credits as the most significant period of growth in his ministry as he learned the extent of sacrifice and work necessary to be effective. The great loves in his life are his family, Krispy Kreme donuts, and disc golf.
